The Sunbury and Macedon Ranges Specialist School project in Victoria involved the delivery of a purpose-built specialist education facility designed to support students with additional learning needs through a modern, inclusive, and highly functional environment. Specialist schools are designed to accommodate tailored teaching spaces, support areas, and flexible learning environments that enable both educational and developmental outcomes for students requiring additional support.

EDSA Group was engaged as the electrical contractor for the new specialist school building, delivering electrical light and power, as well as data and communications infrastructure. The scope was strictly limited to the new build component, with no works undertaken within the existing school facilities. The project required detailed coordination to ensure all services were integrated to support specialist teaching environments, staff facilities, and student-focused spaces, while maintaining compliance with Australian Standards and Department of Education requirements.

Delivered as a standalone new building within an operational school environment, the project demonstrates EDSA Group’s capability in education construction across Melbourne and regional Victoria, with a strong focus on coordination, compliance, and functional performance. Completed in September 2018, the facility now operates as a modern specialist education space supported by reliable electrical and communications infrastructure designed for long-term use.
