Our Lady of the Way Church in Wallan, Victoria, forms part of a growing parish and education precinct, delivering a modern place of worship designed to support community gatherings, religious services, and large congregations within Melbourne’s northern growth corridor. The facility has been designed to provide a welcoming, functional, and contemporary environment, with integrated spaces supporting both liturgical use and community engagement.
EDSA Group was engaged as the electrical contractor for the church and associated car park works, delivering a comprehensive services package including electrical light and power, data and communications, dry fire systems, and audio-visual infrastructure. The project required detailed coordination to ensure all systems were seamlessly integrated within the architectural design, supporting both the operational requirements of a place of worship and the technical demands of modern services, presentations, and events.
Particular focus was placed on lighting design and performance to enhance the internal environment of the church, along with reliable audio-visual and communications systems to support services and community use. External works across the car park were also delivered to ensure safe access, functionality, and compliance with relevant standards.
Completed in May 2019, the project demonstrates EDSA Group’s capability in delivering electrical and technology infrastructure across community, religious, and public-use facilities. The Our Lady of the Way Church now operates as a key community asset in Wallan, supported by integrated and high-performing systems that enable reliable day-to-day operation and long-term use.
