Mambourin Marketplace in Mambourin, Victoria, is a new neighbourhood retail centre delivered to service Melbourne’s rapidly growing western growth corridor. Developed by Frasers Property and constructed by MABEN, the centre provides a modern retail offering including a full-line supermarket, specialty tenancies, and essential services, forming a key community hub within the Wyndham region. Delivered under a Design & Construct (D&C) model, the project required coordinated delivery of building services to support long-term operational performance and sustainability outcomes.
EDSA Group was engaged to deliver the renewable energy scope for the development, completing the design and installation of a 580kW solar PV system distributed across multiple roof areas. The system incorporates high-performance Sungrow inverters, selected for their efficiency, scalability, and suitability for large-scale commercial applications. The installation required detailed coordination across multiple tenancies and roof structures, with integration into the site’s electrical infrastructure and switchboards to ensure optimal performance and compliance with Australian Standards and network authority requirements.
The project required a high level of coordination under the D&C framework, including interface management with the builder, consultants, and other trades to achieve programme milestones and commissioning outcomes. Delivered within a live construction environment, the solar installation supports the centre’s sustainability objectives, reducing energy consumption and contributing to long-term operational efficiency for tenants and operators.
Completed in November 2025, Mambourin Marketplace demonstrates EDSA Group’s capability in delivering large-scale commercial solar systems across retail developments in Melbourne, with expertise in multi-roof installations, D&C coordination, and high-performance renewable energy infrastructure.
